Bonnie Schwartz Nolan

Bonnie is an experienced finance and operations professional with an MBA from Columbia Business School.   With over 20 years in these fields, Bonnie’s versatility has led her to manage projects in industries ranging from technology start-ups to summer camps, in both for-profit and non-profit spaces.

Specializing in strategy, accounting, and financial modeling , Bonnie is an efficient multi-tasking team leader who can manage a large staff and many moving parts.  Bonnie is highly skilled in operations, program development, and human resources supported by her expertise in Quickbooks, SalesForce, CRMS and various technology platforms. 

Bonnie’s competency and ambition are not limited to the her professional accomplishments; in 2005, she completed a solo swim across the English Channel in 13 hours and 28 minutes.   She began swimming competitively at the age of 6 and was a varsity swimmer at Johns Hopkins University. After college, she completed several open water swims across the country including The Manhattan Island Marathon Swim, Alcatraz to San Francisco and across the widest part of the Potomac River. In 2003 her 10k performance earned her the title of Long Distance All American.

In the ensuing years, Bonnie has coached Masters, Age Group, College, and open water swimmers at several locations in New York, Florida and California. She has run clinics at Brighton Beach and in the Hudson River and was responsible for training the first generation of Swim Angels who assist at NY Open Water swims and triathlons around the tri-state (NY, NJ, CT) area. Bonnie’s coaching skills in the ocean translate to her effectiveness in managing and coaching teams in professional spaces. 

She has been engaged for motivation speaking engagements at grade schools, teams, social groups and professional organizations about swimming, managing extraordinary situation and living a meaningful life.  She gave a TEDx Talk in 2014 called “Shoot for the Moon.”

As a fast swimmer and a faster learner, Bonnie positively impacts the environment around her, and is an asset to any project or team.
